As long as you're thinking about Dr. Preston's question, I'll throw in my own thoughts... I think that it would be really neat to see a comparison of the different eras. We always hear our parents talking about how our culture is just a rehash of those of the past (particularly the 80's), even though we feel that it's solely characteristic of our generation. It would be cool to figure out what influences helped shape modern culture, and if any thing like this kind of "cycling" has taken place before.
